I have a java server program used for group drawing. After running my own home server for the last 6 years on limited Bandwidth, I'd like to take it to a Virtual hosting service. I'm not sure exactly what type of service I should be looking for. I don't want just a web/sql/php server (although i need that too), I need to be able to run this drawing java app, on it for users to connect to its port (via a client applet loaded from the webpage). It has one set of connection ports. At any one time my current server can have as many as 50 artists drawing together. My current bandwidth needs are 1 =GBytes outbound from the server, and 150MBytes inbound per day. Currently the java app is running on a windows XP box (caugh :P ). I am looking for direction and help and wise suggestions. Is a VPS what i am looking for, will they allow a java server app to be run? the memory on winXp + web/php/sql + java applet is under 400MB Ram. Sorry to sound like a Noob, but I am wanting to get good information and learn the right way . Thank in advance. Niko
