Delimiter.us Customer Service experience

    Hello LET readers,

I recently ordered a VPS from Delimiter.us and in order to get the free Directadmin and Installatron licenses I had to create a ticket.

The Directadmin license got applied in 24 hours, which is very reasonable.
However the Installatron license is still not applied after a week and they seem to ignore my tickets when I ask for an estimated time.

Overal every CS ticket-reply I made took a pretty long time compared to other companies to get answered.

To sum up, my first question to you readers is:

Have you ever done business with Delimiter.us and what was your CS experience?

Thanks for reading, hope you can help out.

P.s. I'm happy with the service they provide.

Edit: It seems they fixed my license just now, all together a good service.
Still, what is your experience with your provider? ( CS-wise )

Just an update for the people that read this and are interrested in delimiter:

Somehow my Installatron license has expired on the second of september, made a ticket to get it fixed. After 24 hours still no answer.

The VPS itself though is one of the best I've had. I guess their customer service is just the bottleneck.

I just ordered one from deliimter today...so far had 1 support ticket answered within minutes concerning a billing mistake.

I'm glad you posted this though - I thought it was just my newbie ignorance when I did not see DirectAdmin...(and naturally their "knowledgebase" is not working either for me to even try that first) so am going to send a support ticket on that now. Read some very bad reviews about them, but $20 seems like a nominal risk and if I can get it to work it will save me about $300 a month compared to a managed server.

I suggest you try to find a new host. They been having customer service problems for a while now and it doesn't seem to be improving. There's a big discussion on it on wht.

So far so good - They installed DirectAdmin for me within 2 hours of submitting the ticket. I have marked all of my tickets as high priority and they have all been responded to in a reasonable amount of time. You have to go through their ticket system though - they do not read email replies. It would be nice if they had a "getting started manual" or something though, had I not stumbled across this thread I would have never known I needed to request it, especially when you order you have the option to pick "none" or a few others from a list.

So far I am pretty happy with the support from a site that offers no support :)

You may want to reconsider doing that. Most ticking systems have a method on the admin side that if you abuse the importance status, a quick setting drops all of your tickets down to lowest importance.

High importance is usually reserved for when something is actually broken or your site/ box/ whatever is down.

Just trying to save you from further problems down the road.

Although you get props for being a DA user. :)

Delimiter/XVPS/Yomura are thieves. They'll take your money, your VPS will go down and they'll ignore tickets.

Just have a google around for them, check the threads on LEB and at WHT about them.

    Hello,

How well is your relationship with Delimiter going?

If you still use it, can you please put this file on your server (it's part of OpenBSD distribution, just something for me to download, 48 MB) and give me the link.

My email is nleschov at gmail, if you prefer to send the link in private.

    Thanks.

Nick, you should stop spamming threads with your file. If you want people to host your file then create a new thread. It's starting to get annoying.

TV-Abel, okay, I stop. Please put the file if you are not opposed to the idea.

The reason I am asking in different threads is that I was interested in testing the performance of specific hosting providers, so I am asking people that signed up with those providers. I wrote in the threads because I cannot send a personal message or email.

There's no need to do that. You just had to post once in your own thread and ask for help. Folks here would have helped.

Gotta admit that I agree. It is bad taste and on many forums, you would have been banned. LEB must be a really nice guy. :)
